Lion’s Head in the Maldives
is a marine life protected area
located at the southern end of North
Male Atoll in Vadhoo Kandu. The
area is full of grey reef sharks,
coral and beautiful gardens. The
debt overhang appears as if it is
a lion’s head. Ease with 3-metre-long
reef top, caves and overhangs, Lion’s
Head in a strong current. While
diving in the blue reef wall, prepare
to meet with variety of small and
large pelagic species, including
teeth triggers red, rainbow rifle,
tunas, sharks, Napoleon wrasses
and turtles. It provides an opportunity
to witness the colors of aquatic
species.
Several turtles can be found on
the reef top and on the reef wall
up several fish, lobsters, sponges,
octopus, sea anemones, pincushions
and many other species. The characteristic
of the region is a turtle shell.
